After planning almost the entire year, we had to decide what would be the trip we always do between the months of December and January and which is usually one of the annual long trips.
After going around many times and considering that this year we could enjoy practically the days we wanted after our «New Year, new life», we decided that the time had come to travel to one of the countries we most wanted to know and we were waiting to go when we had more days to enjoy it with time and to the fullest. And finally the time has come. Let's go to…

Mexico for free. Travel preparations

The first of the questions that arose when we started preparing this travel to Mexico for free It was about the flights.
The initial idea was to fly to Mexico City and from there start the tour, by the end of the trip, we expected the Yucatan area, to catch an internal flight that would return us to the starting point to return to Spain.
After talking with Sergio, from Viajeropedia Travel, who had already traveled to Mexico a while ago, we were clear that the best option was to enter through Mexico City and leave through Cancun, something that also was much better for us, since that, again, Sergio helped us again managing the tickets from his agency, saving us some good euros.
With that extra day earned from internal transfers, it was time to divide the 45 days of the travel to Mexico for free, in a way that allowed us to know all the places we most wanted to know, in addition to taking a few days of relaxation at the end of the trip.

Itinerary of the trip to Mexico for free

As we have commented previously, our travel to Mexico for free It will start in Mexico City, where we will spend the first days of the trip to get to know the city in addition to some of the most interesting places in the surroundings, such as Puebla, Cholula or Teotihuacán, one of the essentials of Mexico that we could not and did not want to miss.

After these first days in Mexico, we will start a route through some of its colonial cities, which will first take us to San Miguel de Allende, another of the places we did not want to miss on this trip.
One of the doubts that arose in this moment of planning was how to move between all the cities we were going to visit in this first part of the travel to Mexico for free. After assessing different options, among which were the rental car or the plane, in the end we decided on the bus, a transport that allowed us to move with total ease, comfort and safety between them, in addition to having schedules that fit perfectly with what we were looking for. To have more information we leave you this article about security in Mexico according to our opinion.
Once we decided that we were going to move between cities by bus, after asking our readers on our Street Travelers page on Facebook we decided on the ETN company, the one they recommended most, both for safety and comfort and with whom we will all the transfers, which we have also been able to book and pay through PayPal.

So with this decision already made, we can only continue with the itinerary of the trip to Mexico for free. Arriving in San Miguel de Allende we will spend two days in the city, which we will devote to know some of its most emblematic places in addition to its historic center, considered one of the most beautiful in the country.
